Any reason why? I thought he said he knew DP to well to switch to another DAW

I would imagine it's because Logic's become much more flexible and powerful with regards to audio editing in the jump from 7 to 8, and it's still the best sequencer I know of, too - very useful features for a keyboardist!

I came across this new icon online, and liked it a lot - I just felt it was time for a change. More laid-back, don't you think?

It's true he's used Performer for many years, but my impression of Jordan is that the amount of time he had invested in a particular technology is no reason to investigate new technologies.

Basically, as a Mac user, he'd been getting recommendations to check out Logic for some time, and when he did, I think he felt it had enough new features he'd find useful to make it worth investigating. He did, and liked it a lot; what's more, I think he felt an immediate understanding of the structure and logic (no pun intended) of the program, so much so that he knew he'd be able to get into it quickly. And there are a couple of unique, cool instruments in Logic unavailable elsewhere (Sculpture is incredible) that I think he found particularly interesting.

So I think that, along with his general studio upgrade, made him feel it was time for a change.
