What would you do?
- I can get a K2500S (the 76-keys) for 8000 NOK ($1174). Cheap, no taxes, because it's domestic, and the K2500-series is nice... This one is used though...
- I can get the PC1X (88-keys) on eBay for 8138 NOK ($1195). Cheap, new, authorized dealer (nightSky Records) so I will get a warranty, BUT: this one I have to pay 24% extra to ship it to Norway plus, plus and so on...
I'm worried that since I have 88 keys now, 76 might be "a little few"... Is this so? or are 76 keys more than enough??? I'm kinda new to keyboarding... Share your oppinions about this choice... The K2500S or the PC1X...

I'm very into the ribbon, wich is intregrated on the K2500S, and an additional option on the PC1X...

If you already have an 88-note board, you could control the K2500S from it... thus alleviating the problem, and also giving you the option of the synth keyboard for leads, drum parts etc that are not as easy on a weighted board.

Hmm, you have to decide the use. A PC1X has great presets. The k series are more for the programming work. For instance you can't design a lead on the Pc1X.

I know... the amount of things to do on the k2500 is amazing... But what about 76 keys? will I notice the difference from 88?
And I'm planning to sell the one I have now... An old Kurzweil midiboard plus a yamaha sound module... should get at least $600 for it...

Does the Kurzweil MIdiboard have wooden keys?
I would keep the Midi board because it has 88 Keys and buy the k2500.

yes, the midiboard has wooden keys... I have some problems with the third D-key from the left... if i push it down, it stays there :P fixed it for now though... they call me MacGyver... :P :P I've talked to a guy that fixes keyboards, and he will fix it, so it's no big problems...
About keeping the midiboard and buying the k2500s... Can't afford it man... if i can get 600 bucks for it, it'll do 50% of what the k2500s will cost... but i really dont think having ONLY 76 keys would be any problem.... for now... I'll probably buy another keyboard in a few years anyway...

Well, you can feel it. The 76 keys are obviously lighter. I don't think it's a big problem. You'll get used to it! Your solo's will be faster. They're heavier than 61 but lighter than 88.

Unless you are playing lots of classical or doing numerous (ie >3 or more) splits on your keyboard, you will barely notice the difference between 76 and 88 keys.
I have a 61 key B3clone and a 76 key controller as my keyboards, and I do feel the need for a 88 key keyboard.
