I can do all the ones Jordan recommends but i still am finding that my finger independence is lacking. For instance if I curl my pinky, my fourth finger curls along with it. Can anyone recommend me a good book of exercises? (Not Hanon, that's more just about even playing, I have found).

I've actually noticed that my 4th finger is very weak, and I've been trying to work on it for a long time, but it still doesn't feel right. 4th finger depends on your 3rd or 5th and thats just how your body works... (I've even heard some pianist wanted to get surgery to make the fourth finger more independent)

I refuse to accept that fact! Haha! Have you seen in Keyboard wizardry how high Jordan is able to lift his fourth finger? It's incredible. What I'm finding really annoying right now is that I have this terrible instinctual habit to curl up my 5th finger when I'm not using it! so, when I'm playing a section that uses on 4 3 and 2, my fifth is awkwardly lifted and curled, i don't know how I developed this habit nor how to stop it. It's even happening now when I'm typing.

Sorry, that's in keyboard madness!
