Hi !

This week I just received at my job my new Yamaha MOTIF ES8... last february for thoses who was here I received my K2600XS fully load and last year my Roland XV-5080... I also ordered my Powermac G4 1Ghz 15" laptop...

Recording contract are becoming more important and since I'll be affiliate with the university for some contract, good stuff are required.

:) Now the problem are the stands... I bought the Ultimate IQ-3000 and tought about ordering the second tier... but I has only 12" depth and I doubt it will hold my 2 88-notes keyboards...

Any idea ?

William

I personally wouldn't put any 88 key weighted board on a second tier, because you'd need some -seriously- heavy duty stands to take the weight, plus you're going to obscure most of the control panel of the bottom board.

Unless of course, you had a stand custom built.

Yes... but the IQ-3000 second tier can hold 100 lbs and the total weight has to be under 300 lbs... I'm ok :)

Standbuilder can build a stand that can accomodate three
88 note keyboards! It's true. E-mail him some time if you're
interested. Oh yeah, and it will rotate too!

The IQ 3000 can handle the boards. Its possibly the strongest X stand out there by a large company.

Yeah, but the 2nd tier is something that I wouldn't trust as easily, and you'd still have the problem of one board completely obscuring the control panel of the other. I personally would use two X-stands, one positioned higher, and a little further back than the other, or in an L pattern.
