I do believe the Yamaha KX 1 & KX 5 remote controllers have breath control inputs, They are old but you may be able to get one from Ebay.... :)

Or you can use a breath control midi box ...

and then a midi merger:

Just using midisolutions as an example, not an endorsement. Though I;ve heard only good things about them.
Best,
Jerry
Thanks for the heads up on the gear.

You are welcome. Only thing you want to watch for is the cheese factor with the wires. If you do wireless midi, it will be better to merge the signals before transmision (1 transmitter). You might need to get a belt or harness to hold the gadgets.

I'd like to go totally wireless. Might be a while though; the price for the Wireless MIDI is like $600-$700 USD and I have things I want to get that are higher on the "gear lust list". Currently I have a fully loaded K2500XS and some PA equipment. I'd like to add to that a Keytar, Rackmount, Maybe an older Keyboard (i.e. DX7) to be MIDIed into my Kurz, an Apex stand and a little more PA equipment.
I'm not really fond of a belt full of gadgets. If I could find a keytar with the gadgets built in, that would be perfect. That Yamaha KX5 looks interesting, but I could not find any on e-bay (either currently listed or completed) :( Also I saw that Chic Korea used it in some of his live concerts with the eletric band.
I'm currently looking at the Roland A?-7. Maybe that one with the gadget belt. Don't know :?

I used to have a KX-5. Shorter keys but w/th BC it
was awesome. I wonder what they go for now on
ebay.

Apparently you can't buy them new. :(
I couldn't find any on ebay either (current or past).
For some reason it doesn't appear that Yamaha makes them anymore.

They should really revive the keytar as an instrument.
I personally think the current Roland keytar doesn't have much street cred :).
What I found on german ebay (don't know if it has BC): http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=46986&item=7338965387&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW
