Heh.. wouldnt that be great if somebody already made it
Anyways, im trying to create it, but so far it sounds pretty messed up in the higher parts. Imo too acid atm.

Thats what i got so far. Im having a hard time making the upper octaves (wich I played in the end to indicate) sound decent, cause what i have here is crap. Once i start to improve the upper ones the lower ones get worse in the meanwhile. -Any- tips will be appreciated, be as critical as possible.
I hope my angelfireaccount wont be closed off now, so be easy on the bandwidth. Thanks.

Couldn't download as I got the above message.
I've notice that it's hard to get Jen's tone in the high register when trying to emulate his lead tone. It seems I'll be happy with the low and mid tones but then the highs sound really harsh and sorta ringmodulated. :?:

Yes, that is exactly what im facing as well once i start changing.
The download should work btw yea. If ppl still get problems ill try to find a host.
Often these can work for pc users with their right click.
My mac equivalent is Option + click and this will download most files to my downloads folder.
Just tried again and still can't get the mp3

Great sound for me..you have to work on LFO and then set an amount of cutoff that goes no higher than 45 % of the Total..after set the resonance, which has to respond with cutoff + dist creating that Harmonic Effects ( or should do it..eheh..)..
Jens alwyas modulate his lead sound by the Velocity i guess, so try to alter the cutoff value with velocty..more harder you play, more cutoff you got..it has to be a minimal increase, in order to not devast the sound's characteristics.
Another thing: the Key Tracking..this lead has to sound identical in all the extension of the keyboard, so set the keytracking at a value like 10 % and it should work.
Last thing, add a flanger, before the distortion and then work on it..has to sound smooth and clear and a bit "imbottled"so the frequancy of the cycles have to be low..like a 1 % ..
For me it's all, i hope this helped you a bit!!
Post a new sample soon, we are waiting..!!
bye

Claudio:
That is such a thoughtful and helpful post. 8) I think that's pretty much the whole recipe.

How this can be done on triton?
(a noob here, who can't understand that cutoff, velocity cutoff and key tracking)

Last Viking, I think Tusker has some great websites you check out..
What was is again guys? Secrest of synthism or smth? I found it very useful myself and it explained the basics of how synthesizing sound works, cant find the link in my bookmarks atm though.

i can't get the mp3s, so i was wondering if there was a small chance that you could send one demo to my mail please, it would be really great!
and another thing, could put here the file of your lead?? because i own a roland xp60 and i think this key can read jv1080 sounds.
