Hi!
I want to get a Yamaha DGX-500 and I would like to know if its a good keyboard for the price?? I have no more money to buy a keyboard....

The feel of the keys is IMO bad considering it's being marketed as a fully weighted board. The keys are IMO only a bit better than semi weighted. The sounds are okay i guess. As far as I know the only difference to the DGX 300 is 88 keys and 200-300 euros.

Anyway if synth action keys dont bother you i suggest you take a look at the Casio WK 3000 or WK 3500. I have the WK 3000 and the only thing I have to complain about it for the price is the key action, it could have more weight to it.

Hey, I just got a Yamaha DGX-500. I'm pretty pleased with it ,good deal for the price. The 617 sounds are good quality,but one bad thing is that it is really bad as far as portability('tis huge!), and the keys are semi-weighted. All in all a good buy for $600.
